A Librarian's Reading Log

The number of 's indicates how much I enjoyed the reading experience of each title. It is completely subjective and does not reflect the "literary value" of the book. The grade-level is also assigned by me, as much as I believe that those are the readers most likely to enjoy each title. The means that I read the Galley (or Advanced Readers Copy) of the book, not the finished and published book.

09/04/2004: "Just So Stories "

author: Rudyard Kipling
audience: K and up (read aloud and alone)

We (David and I) took turns reading stories from this to Lily at bedtime on our vacation in Paris. It was such a delight to read Kipling's words out loud. We all enjoyed them tremendously!

Here you will find the books I have been reading, mostly for my own enjoyment and also because I am a School Librarian, serving children 4th to 8th grades.

I believe strongly that as a "literature advisor," I need to connect the right book with the right child and thus foster in each child the love of reading and books. For this purpose, I must read as much as time and my slow-reading pace allows.

If you are curious as to what I read and how much I enjoyed (or disliked) these books, please read on.
