- The Story
- The daughter of the innkeeper falls deeply in love when Anchin, a
handsome young man, stays in the inn. When Anchin breaks his promise
and fails to return to her, the girl's anger rages inside and transforms
her into a "wild, fire-breathing dragon." The dragon's sole intention is
revenge. She succeeds in doing so by charring Anchin to a "crisp" after
quite an exciting chasing scene.
- Comments
- This dragon is a rare exception in the oriental dragon traditions
that the reason for the transformation is anger and not in search of
immortality or magic. The whereabout and fate of the dragon is not
told. This is a short telling with plenty of actions.
